FAQs
Q: What differentiates City Lights Orchestra from all the other wedding bands out there?
A: If you've done some shopping around, you've noticed that most Philadelphia area wedding bands have several things in common. Most orchestras have about the same instrumentation and do a large variety of material to suit all tastes. What makes City Lights different is that our renditions of popular songs aren't watered down, "loungy" versions. They sound just like the original recording. And there's something else that's unique about City Lights Orchestra. We price our wedding packages reasonably. You're not paying for a name. You get seasoned, talented pros who sound great and who are easy to work with at a price that's affordable.

Q: Will we have
control over the music that is played at our reception? What if we don't want the Electric Slide, Macarena, Chicken Dance and other
traditional wedding songs?
A:
Normally we do not perform the Electric Slide, Macarena, Chicken Dance and
similar "novelty" songs unless specifically requested. In addition,
approximately two weeks prior to your reception, we will contact you to discuss
which songs in our repertoire you would like to exclude or include in our sets.
City Lights Orchestra always tailors the music at your reception to reflect your
taste and the needs of you and your guests.
Q: Does the band
have liability insurance?
A: Yes. Any band
you hire to perform at your reception should be carrying liability insurance.
Q: Can you
provide references?
A: Yes. Please call or e-mail us at citylights02@comcast.net
to receive the names and
contact information for our satisfied customers.
Q: How far will the band travel to play at a reception?
A: We perform primarily in Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York and New Jersey; however, we would consider traveling outside this area.
Q: Can City Lights Orchestra perform ethnic music?
A: We currently have a variety of ethnic music in our repertoire and are always willing to add new ethnic material, as requested by our clients.
